Daniel Stainer is a published fine art photographer living in Western Pennsylvania. Specializing in landscape and environmental portraits, his vivid images are often described as having a "painterly" quality to them—drawing the eye into a thoughtfully composed mélange of color, light, line, texture, tone and perspective.
Daniel aspires to capture images that evoke emotion—while at the same time showcasing his passion for beautiful natural landscapes. In another facet of his work, Daniel's striking portraits aim to capture the essence and spirit of his subjects in much the same way that a poet seeks to understand the world in human terms through literary composition.
"Your photographs are beautiful. You have both strength and delicacy together. And clarity even in the most moody pictures."
Molly Bang, Caldecott award-winning author and illustrator of “Picture This: How Pictures Work”
